YESMEI × ROLR28¢

I'm a narrative architect with 11 years in social media, evolving into an early-stage operator. I hunt down unmet or overlooked verticals, and build organic strategies from that gap.

Origin

When I was 9, my Dad handed me the book “Rules for Revolutionaries” by Guy Kawasaki, and told me it was the Bible. I believed him.

He gave me an awareness of startups, reps with consumer product intuition, and the fire to succeed as an early-stage underdog.

I made a decade-long bet that starting my career in social media and marketing would equip me with a toolbox to experiment and win in consumer markets.

Every scope compounds. I get sent in for one lane and leave with the system.

I strive for the best odds of success in:

  • Increasing the standard of customers’ experiences
  • Finding unsuspecting, overlooked markets
  • Translating complicated, technical, and seemingly oversaturated verticals into mainstream appeal

TL;DR

  • Dropped out of elementary to homeschool.
  • Worked as a tour guide, a writer, a reporter, and studied oncology. Found out I loved technology.
  • Made my first “social media startup” in ~2016. Constantly ran new experiments to maintain my viral touch.
  • Briefly attended USC’s Iovine and Young Academy, studying entrepreneurship and crypto.
  • Left university to pursue consumer experiments full time. Needed to be “in the field.”
  • Found a knack for getting deployed into companies and building systems for fast-paced teams — organic content, creator programs, loyalty programs, and long-term brand partnerships.
  • a16z New Media Fellow, recognized for my fast-fire approach to organic takeovers and trendsetting.
